Our new initiative is about giving our staff a helping hand

For the last two years we've been named by The Caterer as one of the best 30 places to work in hospitality. We got there because, as a company whose whole job is to make people happy at work, we make it a priority to reflect that in how we treat our own staff.

A lot of our staff perks and benefits are about the good times - extra days off on birthdays and your kid's first day at school, a cycle to work scheme, restaurant trips and cooking workshops. But we don't want to forget that sometimes our team needs help to get through the tough times.

That's why we've teamed up with Hospitality Action, one of our charity partners, to offer our staff an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). This is a completely confidential advice line that our employees can use whenever they're finding their work or personal life difficult.

It offers help on the whole range of challenges that life can throw at us. From counselling to legal advice to parenting tips, the EAP is there to help keep our employees on track. Hospitality Action can offer crisis grants when big emergencies strike, and they can even give advice or get involved if our employees feel that we or anyone working for us hasn't treated them fairly.

If you want to know more, Hospitality Action have written a handy summary of the main reasons employees get in touch. If you work for us and want to know how to use the service, just get in touch with our HR Officer Felicity!
