Chris Pickett - goodbye and good luck

Today is a day of mixed emotions at JH homebase

That's because our Executive Chef, Chris Pickett, is working his final day after five fantastic years at JH. We're very sad to see him go, but incredibly excited for whatever the future holds for him.

Chris came to us from a background in Michelin standard restaurants, and brought with him a dedication to cooking food at the highest quality and obsessive attention to detail over every dish that leaves our kitchen, pushing forward our reputation for cooking some of the best workplace food in the business.

He also reflected on his experience in the high pressure world of restaurant cooking and was inspired by his hero Tom Kerridge to drive a kitchen culture all about mutual respect and creativity - a culture that has become the benchmark of our approach to staff development in all areas of Just Hospitality, and contributed to us being named one of the Caterer's top 30 places to work in hospitality at the start of 2015.

Here in the office, meanwhile, he's always been ready for a joke and we'll seriously miss his down-to-earth, straightforward approach to his work.
